TEACHING AT THE RIGHT LEVEL (TaRL) THROUGH THE ALL SMART CHILDREN APPROACH (SAC) IMPROVES STUDENT'S LITERATURE ABILITY

The TaRL approach was developed by Pratham. In his video entitled How to Teach Kids Read in as Little 50 Days he says: “All over the world a growing belief is that if you open school children will (successfully) learn. But are not studying, for example India 97% enrolled schools but 50% of cannot read paragraphs 2nd graders”. stages implementation SAC consist 3 stages: assessment, grouping, and learning according level/ability. After going through these three carrying out literacy 2 weeks, then reassessment carried out. results program assessment can improve children's abilities, namely at beginner level, letters, words, decreased from 55% 50%, story level increased 45% 50%. students who progressed up reached 30%. data on increasing students' skills were obtained using Naturalistic Research method. Grade 1 grade 6 assessed individually. instrument used test. tests letter cards, word paragraph texts, short texts equipped with questions about content story.
